Our March 2021 Book Club Read - A Purpose Driven Woman by Felicia Shakespeare

You guys know I enjoy short reads, and A Purpose Driven Woman by Felicia Shakespeare is a book that inspires, encourages, motivates, gives hope, and it will light a fire within your soul. 

As I began reading this book, I could not put it down. I began to see myself, my family, and my friends within the lives of the 14 women who helped co-author this book. This manuscript is so relatable, heartfelt, and genuine, so much so that I began to hear myself speaking. And you ask, how is this? Well, in my very humble opinion, it is because purpose-driven women think alike, move alike, and dream alike. The thought, move, and plan may not be the same. Still, if you are a woman who has decided to begin taking steps to live your purpose, you will start to see a reflection of yourself in a mirror through the eyes of these lovely ladies who are doing precisely what you want to do.

You learn a lesson from every story within this literary work. The section titled A Path to Purpose by Felicia Shakespeare reminds us that when motion, movement, and meaning collide, we start to see our purpose. The section titled Daydream in Color and Pursue Greatness by Charisma Smith reminds us that your attitude determines your altitude. And the section titled My Journey to Becoming Soul Satisfied by Joyce Dawkins reminds us that there is no permission required to be who you desire to be in life.   

PARTING THOUGHTS
If you had a section in this book full of memoirs, what would your advice be? There is no wrong answer. My contribution would be as follows:​

1. Invest & Visualize success in your life now - You can do it, I promise.
2. Become a life-long learner, resource, and inspiration.
3. Surround yourself with diverse, knowledgeable, and positive influences, people you can learn and grow from because they will be your support system as the road to success is a challenging yet rewarding journey.
4. Remain humble and be your authentic self – you are the only you in this world, so shine like the star you are.

So, if you're ready to transform your life and reach your goals, A Purpose Driven Woman will set you on the course to finally living out your calling.
