Born to parents Anniece Anderson-Owens and Robert Hoskins, Shenitha Finesse Anniece Burton grew up in Chicago, Illinois, in the Robert Taylor projects, where she lived in the same home with her mom, aunties, uncles, and cousins. She attended Overton Elementary School, Marie Sklowdowska Curie High School, Pivot Point Hair School, Northwestern Business College majoring in paralegal studies; Purdue Calumet University majoring in sociology with a criminal justice option, and Michigan State University in its nonbearing certificate program.
In Burton’s lifetime, she has been employed at McDonald’s as a cashier and fry cook, at Ford City Movie Theater as the concession stand servant, at UPS as a loader, and with the federal courts, where she worked hard and was committed to delivering high-quality work, professional leadership, and creative solutions. Burton settled down professionally when she was employed with the US courts, where she was promoted through the ranks. Starting from the lowest rung of the ladder gave her an appreciation of hard work and dedication. She remains humble in all that she does, and she tries hard to put others before herself. Burton realizes that growing her leadership abilities and becoming aware of her signature themes have helped her to find passion in everything she does. She is a strengths champion who leads with developer, learner, input, futuristic, relator, achiever, self-assurance, responsibility, includer, and analytical capabilities. Burton’s hobbies consist of eating dessert before dinner, public speaking, writing nonfiction books, skating, playing the piano, reading, hanging out in the driveway or the backyard with neighbors, and vacationing with her family. Burton is a lifelong learner. |
KEEP HIM COMING HOME WITH LOVE: Living Out Various Experiences Through Conversation
(Vol. III - Avengers & Villains)
Starting to write this story, volume no. III, there is trouble brewing in paradise. So, I had to do what I should have done a long time ago, which is to have a conversation with not only my significant other, but the men with whom I’ve surrounded myself. The men in my life who may have molded my view of my type; the type of man I'd aspire to marry, or would this turn out to be a myth?

PRESS RELEASE PREVIEW for
KEEP HIM COMING HOME WITH LOVE: BE INTENTIONAL ABOUT STRENGTHING YOUR BOND
(Part I)

Q: Who inspired you to write this series?
A: It was the combination of the people I love, my experiences, and the people I have grown from.
Q: When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?
A: I've been talking since the day I was born. I was the distraction during elementary school because that's all I did was talk, talk, and talk.
Q: What is your writing schedule like?
A: Having a full-time career, I begin my writing during the 4:00 a.m. hour, making sure to stop when it's time to head to work, and on the weekends, I start my writing in the AM part of the day as well. The early bird gets the worm.
Q: What do you like to do when you are not writing?
A: I enjoy getting to know me (my strengths and weaknesses), developing others, public speaking, spending time with family, and being in my serenity.

EXCERPT(S) from KEEP HIM COMING HOME WITH LOVE: THE WARMTH OF YOUR HOME DETERMINES THE
TEMPERATURE OF YOUR RELATIONSHIP
(Part II)
If the walls of your home could speak, what would they say? From the crevices of their corners, to the wallpaper or base paint, to the crown moldings or tray ceilings, what secrets would they share? The room décor of your living spaces can affect the tone of your relationships. Over the years of my marriage, I began to compare the décor of our homes to the décor of our relationship.
Serenity is the time I spend alone that is dedicated to my time spent in the word of God, keeping me humble. Serenity is me waking up to palm trees and the sun sparkling off the water, giving off the reflection of diamonds. Serenity is a lake view adorned with lavender, fuchsia, and yellow flowers surrounded by greenery. Serenity, for me, is what it means to have heaven on earth.
I knew I had to finally make my vision of having an eighty-twenty mindset a reality. Most importantly, I needed a man I did not have to persuade to keep coming home but a man who wanted to come home.

Reader's Reviews!
This is a great book. Well written with wonderful nuggets of information. I agree if you are in a relationship it helps to remember how you met because the beginning of relationships are always exciting. Five years later a lot can happen to make you say, ooh he gets on my nerves. I also like how you incorporate meetings with family. I'm going to try to do that too! Makes you want to be a better wife, mother, friend, coworker. I love the family meetings you have on Sundays and the sticky notes of 50,000.00 you put around the house.
