Fiction writers are fixtures of their time --Marc A. Beausejour
|
Marc A. Beausejour is an award-winning author, poet, and motivational speaker whose body of work reflects and represents the complexities of faith, justice, love, and the human experience. Born on July 28, 1987, in Queens, New York, to Haitian parents Jean Claude and Lineda Beausejour, Marc is the eldest of three brothers. His passion for writing began at the age of twelve, inspired by his love for American, British, and French literature. What started as poetry soon evolved into a lifelong calling to tell stories that challenge, inspire, and entertain.
After relocating to Kennesaw, Georgia, in 2001, Marc attended North Cobb High School, Chattahoochee Technical College, and Kennesaw State University, where he studied Marketing Management. Although he built a successful career in the technology industry, his commitment to the written word never wavered. Throughout the years, he continued writing poetry for weddings, funerals, church programs, and community events, refining the voice that would eventually define his literary career. Marc published his first book, Words on High: Inspired Poetry and Inspired Events from MAB, in 2011, introducing readers to a collection of spiritually inspired poetry. He followed with Rising Higher Than Ever in 2015 before expanding into fiction with The Preacher's Web, an urban novel that showcased his versatility as a storyteller. His literary catalog continued to grow with Adia's Ballad (2016), the award-winning Fires of Justice (2018), Split Decision (2019), Split Decision 2: The Comeback (2020), and additional works that have become part of his signature Black Cyrano Series, a collection inspired by Edmond Rostand's timeless classic, Cyrano de Bergerac. |
Marc's storytelling has earned both critical recognition and distinguished honors. In February 2025, Fires of Justice received the Meet the World Image Solutions "For the Culture" Book Award, recognizing its impact and literary excellence. Later that year, in September 2025, Marc became a two-time recipient of the S.H.E. Publishing Triple Threat Award for his outstanding contributions through the Black Cyrano Series. In February 2026, his influence as an author and community leader was further acknowledged when he received a Proclamation of Recognition from the New Orleans City Council for his literary achievements and service.
Continuing to expand his impressive catalog, Marc celebrates the release of his newest novel, A Volatile Game of Passion, launching on July 28, 2026. The novel further demonstrates his gift for crafting emotionally layered characters, compelling relationships, and unforgettable stories that resonate with readers long after the final page. Beyond his work as an author, Marc is an avid reader, traveler, and lifelong student of literature. He enjoys biographies, urban fiction, romance, suspense, and discovering new cultures through travel. As his literary legacy continues to grow, he remains committed to mentoring aspiring writers and hopes to establish an editing company dedicated to equipping emerging authors with the tools, confidence, and guidance needed to bring their stories to life. Whether writing poetry that uplifts the soul or novels that provoke thought and stir emotion, Marc A. Beausejour continues to leave an enduring mark on contemporary literature; one story at a time. |
