BORN TO LEROY & CHERRYL Mattear, Kim Mattear was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, where she attended several schools: Arlington Heights Elementary School; Mount Vernon Junior High School (now known as Johnny Cochran Jr. Middle School); Dorsey, Crenshaw, and Los Angeles High School, to name a few. To ensure she had a skill under her belt, she attended Los Angeles Trade Technical Community College. She also attended “City College,” a private institute located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida while studying Broadcasting. Mattear has a brother and a sister, and she also has one daughter, whom she loves dearly.
Getting into the professional side of life, Mattear owns a music publishing company, Golden Life Music Publishing via Broadcast Music Inc. She is the CEO and Founder of "Be You Apparel Enterprise," a clothing line, that she owns and operates "Exercise with Herbalife" as a Herbalife Distributor and she’s also tapping into Digital Network Market, helping lead the way to financial freedom. Mattear has always loved to write, dance, and skate. She desires to be creative, expressing and utilizing her ideas in ways to reach the world. To top it off, she has a sense of humor out of this world which requires lots of laughter. In addition to the previously mentioned strengths mentioned above, Mattear's passion for writing has led her to become a future best-selling author signed with SHE PUBLISHING LLC, where she'd build a life-long partnership and launch the sister company "Golden Publishing, LLC." While taking on this new endeavor, Mattear is also working on new music (a new anticipated album). She is an actress, and her sixth movie appearance is scheduled to be released late 2021 or early 2022. Be on the lookout for High Maintenance: 3. The release of My Poems of View has halted another unique project Mattear has in store. This project is near and dear to her heart. Project Next L.A. is her baby, and means a lot to her, so she really wants to take her time with delivering the project. Mattear has anticipated the release of her first poetry book for so long and wasn't sure it would come as soon as it did. |
Enduring the loss of both parents within a 5-year period, Mattear is determined to succeed. If her parents were alive, her mom, who was her biggest fan, would say, "I knew you would do it. You got what it takes. I told you, you're a star!" Mattear's mom would be so proud. Mattear's dad would also be glad to see her accomplishing her dreams. He truly believed in Mattear and was the first to witness most of her writings from a little girl. He would genuinely say, "You finally did it, Kimmie!" Mattear's parents would confess how very proud they are of her, but it doesn't stop there. Mattear's friends would say they're not surprised by her success because she has always been good at writing.

MY POEMS OF VIEW is a collection of poetry by the author and artist Kim Mattear. She takes you on a journey throughout her life which includes her successes and challenges, the love of her parents who are watching from the heavens, relationships with friends, adornment of her siblings, love, relationships, and much more. These poems were created years ago, and as Mattear began to bring this dream to a reality, she began to relive what she'd encountered during her journey through life. This experience has brought tears and discomfort at times but has become a form of healing. Although Mattear started writing two other books, she constantly heard the voice to move forward with the release of My Poems of View. And now, as you read this book description, it has come to fruition. The doors of opportunity have opened yet again, and Mattear took that leap of faith. She now presents the 164-page book of poetry. The stars have aligned. As you begin to read, you'll notice the different styles used to write this poetry. It resembles a mixture of short stories and experiences in poetry form.
