Boss Rules by Sharaka M. Leonard is a short read that will inspire you to make a change for the new year. I read Boss Rules every now and again to remind myself that I can do this - and you can too! Boss Rules begins with an engaging introduction, which is short, simple, and to the point. My Top Five Fav boss rules are:
I have begun my pulse check and the Twenty-by-Five Challenge in the back of the book. Please comment and share your thoughts! What are your Top Five Fav rules, and why? Name five things that you've put under FUN THINGS on the Twenty-by-Five Challenge chart? PARTING THOUGHTS Continue to encourage our children to not only get a job, but remind them that they can be the boss of themselves. Expose our children to new and positive things, and when you see their eyes light up, run with that idea and do all that you can to help make that dream come to a reality. Our children are our future, and we can inspire them to boss up!

I hope this post finds you and your family well! Happy Holidays to You from S.H.E.!
We took this month to celebrate the veteran's (our heroes) and we gave thanks in a different way during the November Holiday of Thanksgiving! As we continue to realize what matters the most, let us reflect and appreciate what 2020 had to offer, and begin to plan for a better year (2021) incorporating tranquility in our daily tasks, keeping a positive balance in our emotional account, and valuing ourselves and the connections we make within our relationships. What advice do you have to share during this holiday season? First and foremost, I hope this message finds you well as we are all dealing with the pandemics, plagues, and other challenges of everyday life as we know it. We are in this together.
I have been away way too long and I have a couple of messages to send to June 2020 and July 2020. My message to June 2020: I’d like to send a shout out to the men who have been great fathers, upstanding role models to their daughters and sons, the men holding down the fort, and making sacrifices for their family and loyal friends. Know that we need you. As women we can be independent, but together with you, we can rule the world. So, thank you for your contributions to our world this year. If you continue to make strides to become a better person, that will continue to bleed into the many roles you hold as a husband, brother, friend, son, and father. Happy Father’s Day! My message to July 2020: To you, you are my freedom, faith, hope, humility, and pride. I salute to you who’ve played a role in the endeavor of my freedom. Happy Independence Day! And in celebration in this month, eat with me the most creative ice cream flavors your heart desires. As a matter of fact, indulge with me and eat your dessert before your dinner at least once this year. And to my August 2020: You will bring clarity and great things. Also, in this month I am looking for eight women to collaborate and co-author the special edition of "Keep Him Coming Home with Love." We will share our commonalities and strengths as we embark upon our struggles and how a blessing came from upon those storms. We intend to give you a read to bring in the new year 2021 with hope, serenity, and peace. If you are interested in being apart of the collaboration, please contact us with your interest and a snippet of your story! PURPOSE
As I sat next to my grandmother Janice as she lay in her bed at the rehabilitation facility, I asked her to tell me her story. Before she could begin, I said, "grandmother, let's not talk about that today. We can talk about it the next time we meet." And the next time we met is when she was in the hospital in hospice. She could barely speak, and later that day, she passed away. I didn't get that opportunity to hear her unique story. I'd missed out. My fear of her dying held me back from gathering her history, wisdom, and mysteries. Although the thought of that moment remains a challenge for me, I began to learn a piece of my purpose, which is don't hold off until tomorrow what you can do today. Use fear as your motivation to move and live a little because, as far as I know, you only have one life to live. INSPIRATION When my husband created Showtime Wheelz YouTube Channel, that was the inspiration and motivation for me to move from fear to action in creating S.H.E. Publishing, LLC. VISION You and I will collaborate and not miss out on sharing our stories with the world. Embrace your history, learn of the mysteries, and create fantasies through book literature, letters, magazines, newspapers, business articles, interviews, family memoirs, and blogs! Welcome to the world of creative innovations! Let's make our dreams come true together! |
